Try before you buy.

I don't think you should use reviews to make a purchase decision.  All babies are different sizes and wet to different degrees, something that might suit one person wont necessarily suit you and your baby even if 4000 women think it's"THE BEST NAPPY EVER" YOu could end up spending money and regrettinng it.

I thoroughly recommend trialing, whilst it can be a bit overwhelming, it's certainly easier than browsing the net trying to make a decision,  - trying out different nappies is really reavealing about what suits you and your baby.

Keeping a log of your results (maybe on a spreadsheet) will give you a clear view of which ones last longest, dont leak etc

The main thing is to work out what is important to you and your baby and doing a trial helps you realise this.

Babykind do a two week trial, mine cost about £20 for about 6 nappies and all the inserts for a fortnight, I had ruled out  more than half of them, one being the one i really wanted mainly for it's cute factor but it didn't suit my little lady and her chubby thighs

In finalising my decision I was allowed an extended trial which was really great- it really is worth speaking to their trial adviser Helen, she's great and can just send you a load to try without you having to choose them yourself but I advise you do look at the site yourself - list a few you like and she can tell you if they're a good idea for your size / age baby .

I've exchanged about 10 emails with Helen and she never tires of giving good advice and offering new solutions.  The nappies arrive ready made up and with instructions in case you can't remember how to wash them etc.

well thats enough plugging ! I dont work for them but i have been completely overwhelmed like most people until I  did the trial.

They don't have every nappy going but its a start.  Once you've tried you can then make a more informed decision when buying elsewhere - if you want to.

Finally.....

Buying second hand can work out but if they are pocket nappies and the previous owner has been a bit slack on the care instructions they may not work as intended.

ok... that's all.

goodluck
